As an Aquinnah Wampanoag, I find warmth in the stories of Moshup, our great protector and creator. Moshup shaped Martha’s Vineyard with his mighty hands, forging the land we call home and teaching us how to live in harmony with nature. His enduring presence in our traditions reflects the deep bond between our people and this island, reminding us of our responsibilities to care for the land and uphold our heritage.
